During the 2020 fall campaign, Anderson recorded 21 shutout victories including seven no-hit performances. The hard-throwing right handed pitcher was also a force at the plate recording a .510 batting average with 50 RBI to help guide the Tishomingo lineup to a 34-3 record and the Class 3A state title.

Altogether in four years, Anderson produced a 94-17 win-loss record for the Lady Indians totaling 1,273 strikeouts and finishing with 60 shutout wins including 23 no-hitters in addition to producing .488 career batting average. Anderson is also a champion in the classroom, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

When asked about the keys to her success, Anderson admits it’s the accomplishment of a lifelong dream.

“It was extraordinary that we could accomplish something that no other team at Tishomingo was able to do by winning the school’s first ever state championship,” said Anderson. “For me it was all about courage and having the confidence of knowing my teammates were always there to back me up. For all of us, it was a mindset to finish our journey with a successful victory.”

Anderson’s coach, Charles Cook described the Tishomingo standout as a champion in all walks of life.

“Grace is a true competitor who strives to be the best at what she does,” said the Lady Indians coach. “Her work ethic is very detailed and driven for success.”
